Grand canyon

Grand canyon

We have spent the day at a cowboy ranch on the western rim of the grand canyon. It's been an incredible day. The canyon was staggering, reached after a 1 hour drive through a joshua tree forest. The ranch was hilarious - singing songs around a camp fire. And we spent the night looking at the stars through the hole in our tipi roof. Finally - in the news today is a survey of the deadliest cars in the us. Its the car we are driving! Great! But the Blazer has served us well. We have been driving along river beds and dirt tracks.

Hi Both
Really great this blogging, its nearly as good as being there with you, cant wait to see the rest of the photo`s.
Every one has Welsh fever after the result last week, its cool to be Welsh again. Tickets for the Irish game are changing hands on Ebay for thousands. Talking of Ebay, I have hits on my items and 3 bids, making £6 profit at the moment. Next year we will all go to the states when I am a Dot Com millionaire, ha ha.

Enjoy and look forward to next update. Love Mom XXX

Stuff not to miss

Death Valley – Zabriske Point and Badwater the lowest point below sea level in the western hemisphere at 86ft below.

Stovepipe Wells, where you can have a dip. Then to Lone Pine which is one of the most scenic highways in the US. Onto Mono Lake (don’t swim in this salt water lake) – best place to stop is South Tufas on SR 120 about 5 miles from lee Vining, then Mammoth Lakes through Sierra Nevada to Yosemite. Glacier Point is the hike I did where you can view Yosemite Falls and the Half Dome. You can drive to this point on Glacier Point Road (weather permitting). Try Groveland “Iron Door Saloon” – it’s the oldest saloon in CA

Hello y'all

Sorry to not get to you 'til after Vegas but sounds like you had a blast. Hope the Luxor treated you well, reckon you'll need to walk the length of the Grand Canyon to shift all the food they give you in those buffets.

Anyway, come Saturday you won't be needing to use Blog to communicate. If you hear a distant roar from the east you know Wales will have won the Grand Slam, and I expect you to retort in kind.

Dan, if you're around, pop into the Cathedral Saturday arfo, we'll be in the usual place before the match if you need to break your journey down to the stadium! Hope you have Darrens lucky hip flask! It worked last time.

Tempting as it is to shift the tkt on ebay I fully intend to use mine and say I was there!!!

Wow ! Your trip sounded like so much fun. I would love to spend the night at a ranch in the great out doors. It's good that your car hasn't let you down yet, but when you get back be sure to take a look at that one. So where are you off to next? Anywhere exotic? I've never been anywhere, but i would like to go to Hawaii in the near future.
